Clams Planted!

Many of the littleneck clams I'm growing for my SARE research project are finally big enough to plant in the mud. Though still far from market size, they have grown a TON- from the size of half a sesame seed to more than 1 cm across in overachieving individuals. All this since mid June!

Research Update

Many of the littleneck clams I planted in late June are almost big enough to move from the floating nursery to grow-out bags in the mud. There is quite a bit of size variation in the crop-  I was excited to find a number of individuals that have grown tenfold in length in the last 48 days!
