We're Back!

The red tide has lifted and we are harvesting (some very beautiful) oysters!

In the meantime...

Home-made lantern nets

To my continued frustration, the red tide is sticking around. In the meantime, I've been building and testing gear for my SARE research project. My littleneck clams arrived a full month early. I had to scramble to put together nursery bags to accommodate the 80,000 tiny, tiny, (tiny), seeds.  The gear is looking nice though, and the seed has already put-on good growth in the last few weeks.
The oysters are growing incredibly fast. I am quickly running short on room while I'm waiting for the tide to lift and the market to open up again. I am getting very eager to sell some oysters.
