2016 Season

We are getting ready for the 2016 season. I've been putting the final touches on some much needed boat repairs and building some higher capacity long-lines. I expect the farm to be up and running in the next few weeks. I'm hoping mild weather has been easy on the overwintered crop.

Once the cages have been re-floated, I'll be taking stock and cleaning oysters. I'll be regularly updating this site and our facebook page with harvest information.  Stay tuned...

2016 will also mark the start of an exciting new project. I've received a grant from the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program to test new oyster-growing gear. My field site will be at the UMaine's Darling Marine Center in Walpole. I'm really looking forward to the work. I've been busy putting together my lines and and experimental cages. I'll be adding a "Research" page to this website to track the project's progress.
